My Current School Makeup Routine | Beauty

April 18, 2018

Hi Everyone!

I hope that you are all doing well and have had a lovely week so far! I have been incredibly busy for a while now, but I wanted to share with you today a quick post about Makeup.
So I really go through phases with makeup. I used to be a massive fan of it, and followed the trends, but then I stopped wearing it, and now I have started again.

Now that I am in Sixth Form, I have developed a very simple makeup routine so I look a bit more alive everyday. I don't always wear makeup to school, because frankly I can't be bothered sometimes and I do sport twice a week.

Highlighter:

The Highlighter/ Bronzer is getting a hell of a lot of mentions on my blog nowadays because I love it so much. Makeup Revolution should really sponsor me lol. This product is the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer in Rock On World. This cost me £3 and is an absolutely gorgeous gold powder bronzer. Because I am a WOC, this works really well for me as a highlighter and it makes my skin glow. I am a really massive fan of this product and really recommend it. Sometimes I will skip out a few things in this little routine but I hardly ever skip out on highlighter,

BB Cream:

I recently purchased this BB Cream from Primark. It is the Perfect Colour BB Cream in Rich Espresso. I am really impressed with this because this is a fantastic match for my skin! Primark is really stepping up their makeup game, which I appreciate, because while some brands really don't cater to WOC, Primark has 3 or 4 shades suitable out of a 10 shade range. This BB Cream is really light and non cakey (I wouldn't say that it is medium coverage), which I appreciate as it looks very natural when applied. I don't wear it all the time because I like to touch my face a bit too much, but I would definitely recommend it.

Mascara:

I use so many mascaras, they are little my pocket product! I recently have been using this sample product by MAC, which is their False Lashes Mascara. It is thick and smudgeproof and definitely makes my lashes more voluminous. I like the product, but I don't think that I like it enough to repurchase because I have very short lashes, so I prefer mascaras which will make my lashes longer.

Lip Balm

I have so many lip balms and honestly, I tend to use whichever one I pick up first, but I picked up the PHr lip blam from Primark recently whilst searching for a clear lip gloss. I really like it, it costs only £1.50 and is a simple clear lip balm. The packaging is quite bulky and noisy, which is the only downside to it, but it is great for school.

And that's all! It's incredibly basic and simple, but that is honestly it. I hope that you enjoyed this post, please leave your basic makeup staples below!
