Christian Girl Tag | Faith

October 10, 2017

Hello everyone,

Today I thought I would do the Christian Girl Tag which I have watched on Youtube a few times. I am really getting into Christian Youtube more nowadays, particularly into prayer journaling and using a gift for creativity to glorify God. I haven't done a tag in a while too, so I thought it would be a good time to do one :D

I know that I haven't been around for a while and honestly my brain is really in a mode where it is struggling to focus on blogging.
I also have a lot going on in my life, so please bear with me! I love sharing things with all of you and I hope to start doing so more often, soon!

I know that not everyone who reads is religious, but I really would love for you to still share in the comments what some of your responses would be.

1) How long have you been saved, and when did you become saved?

I was baptized on the 30th of April 2017, so it has been almost 6 months. Also, I dislike using the word "saved". I think that we are all saved, but whether we choose to accept or acknowledge that or not is different. I think that using the word "saved" to describe Christians sets more of a barrier between people, and has this sense of prestige, which shouldn't be conveyed.

2) What's your favorite Bible verse, and what does it mean to you?

My favourite Bible Verse is Isaiah 12:2. I think that it is such a powerful verse and I find that it covers a lot of topics. If I have a lack of faith, or lack of trust then I can turn to this verse and it renews my hope.
Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.”
-Isaiah 12:2
I find that the verse is also kind of personal. It only mentions "I" (me) and God. It's like a promise between me and Him.

3) What's your favorite Christian song and why?

Hmmm, I don't really listen to Christian songs. I must sound so weird, but I don't like the idea of saying "Christian songs". If a song is written by an artist that is Christian, does that make it Christian, or does it have to openly glorify God. One song I really like is Oceans by Hillsong, but I listen to tons of songs by Christian artists, so I don't know if they count.

4) What is your favorite Christian book?

The Bible? I don't think that I read "Christian" books. Once again, I don't understand how a "Christian book" is differentiated from a regular book.

5) What's your favorite thing about church?

I love the sermons. Especially when I feel inspired by them. They really call me to be proactive in whatever I am doing at that moment, whether it is spiritual or not.

6) If you could meet Jesus right now, what would your first question/action be?

I'd probably smile, really, really wide. Then I would say, "Wow." Several times. Then I would say, "how are you?" (For whatever reason, I have always wanted to ask Jesus that)
Then, perhaps "Can I hug you?"

7) Oddest place that you have ever prayed?

In the bathroom? In the infrequent time that I have gotten locked in a bathroom, I pray to be let out. It's odd but it isn't that odd.

8) Are you ready if Jesus were to come tomorrow?

No way. I don't think that I will ever be ready. The thing is; I don't really mind that though.

9) How do you openly share your faith?

That is a difficult question. I find it easier to share my faith with people who may not be Christian but have an interest or are curious about God, more than people on the street. I guess that through this blog I am sharing my faith and I do so by trying to be a good Christian example at school and wherever else that I go.

I hope that you liked the tag! Honestly, as much as I didn't like some of the questions, it really made me think about some of my answers. Please share your answers in the comments, I love to read them all!
Also, I am not a fan of tagging people to do things, but if you have done the tag, please share your link or some of your responses! I would love to have a read.

  2. Wow mind blowing post, thanks for sharing. Music has an unbelievable amount of ways it can positively impact on a person by inspiring them, but it also allows people to show their faith and devotion. Using praise and worship guitar chords is a common way for an individual to create songs that indicates their faith and lets them pay homage to their God or way of life.See more

  3. thank you on the post. I have the following rating from the video.
I went into this with low expectations. Honestly, an entire film about adults playing the game of tag?

I was pleasantly surprised how funny this film was! I haven't laughed this hard in a LONG time! It is a fast paced comedy that wears its R rating proudly - it is rude, crude and funny!!

This film is all about excellent acting, great direction and wonderful editing. The plot is paper thin but I was never bored..

Don't let the plot dissuade you from seeing this. I actually laughed so hard I missed a lot of the jokes! will probably buy this on bluray so I can catch up with what I missed.
