3 Highlighters that I Want To Own

December 06, 2016

Today I have a short post on some Makeup Highlighters that I would love to try. I actually don't have many highlighters at all so this is really just me wishful thinking.
In the run up to Christmas I thought I would do more wishlist style posts so that people can get some good ideas for gifts for friends and family. I hope that you enjoy this post and find it useful!

6 Indie Wax Sellers That I want to Buy From | Christmas Gift Guide

December 04, 2016

I thought that I would share another post about Wax Melts or Tart melts or Tarts or whatever they are called today. I have recently been checking out some independent sellers on etsy and Instagram and as it is the Christmas season, I thought that I would share a post about buying wax melts from these vendors, who make their wax melts by hand and work really hard to produce them. Buying from Independent brands and sellers is important to me as you are directly helping someone and not just endorsing a huge company.

I think that these wax melts will also make brilliant gifts for those who are looking for presents for friends! They are very affordable, but thoughtful and fun!

The Unpopular Bookish Opinions Tag!

November 20, 2016

So today I am doing the Unpopular Bookish Opinions Tag which I have seen a lot of youtubers do and thought that I might try it.
I have no intentions of offending anyone, sorry if you disagree with me. These are just my opinions and I don't expect that everyone will agree.

Wax Melts

All About My Glade Wax Melts Warmer

October 27, 2016

Hello lovelies,
So I didn't do a "What I Got For Christmas" blog post last year but one of awesome presents that I got was something that I really wanted and would have bought myself, which is the Glade Wax Warmer! Thank you L for getting this for me, you are amazing!

The warmers (also called tart burners or tart melts) make great gifts and they are used as an alternative to candles, (which FREAK me out, so weird I know but that's me). You can buy little wax tarts or melts to put inside of the warmer, turn it on and let them melt to allow a beautiful scent to fill your house. Its also a lot cheaper as the warmer retails for only £6 in most places and a set of wax melts are super affordable, ranging from pennies to about £4, depending on who you are buying from. The wax warmers are also a lot safer than candles as there is no open flame to burn down your home, because that would be awful. Also, when you have a weak scent, the fragrance isn't overpowered by the smell of smoke or burning. They are also great room decor!
I use mine more in the winter months and in cooler evenings because the aroma of the different scents are amazing and I need to be able to appreciate them. I think it fills the whole criteria of a cozy evening with the warm blankets and sweet smells and the English rain outside- I'm totally rambling now lol. The point is that I love them so much!

I was also lucky as one of my other friends, A, (and not "A" from Pretty Little Liars, I don't want to be friends with him/her/them) bought me a few Yankee Candle wax tarts for my birthday back in April too! Thank you!
I also have seen that there is an entire youtube community who is into wax tarts. Unfortunately, the majority is in the USA so I can't get that many recommendations but I noticed that there are some independent wax tart makers who I really want to try out in the future.

This was more of an introduction, but I am looking to do some more posts on little Wax Tart Hauls, collections and wishlists!
I hope that you enjoyed this post and come back for more.

Nemesis by Anna Banks- Book Review

October 04, 2016

Nemesis by Anna Banks

Nemesis (Nemesis #1)

My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

I received this book free for review for the promotional blog tour, however this is an unbiased and completely honest review. All thoughts are my own.

Nemesis by Anna Banks is the first book in an Eygptian Fantasy series which follows the main character- Maga Sepora, the Princess of the mountainous lands of Serubel when she escapes her country in favour of asylum in the neighbouring land, which coincidentally in the enemy land of her country.
Here she meets Tarik, the recently crowned King of her enemy, the Theorians. He is adjusting to his new placement at the top of the hierachy as well as face a new plague sweeping Theoria.
She is also a Forger, a member of the royal family and the final forger in Serubel. She can create a liquid element of spectorium which provides energy to create anything.
Sepora's gift could save Tarik's kingdom from the Quiet Plague. But should she trust her growing feelings for her nemesis, or should she hide her gifts at all costs?

Nemesis Blog Tour and Eygptian Inspired Make Up Tutorial +Tips

September 24, 2016

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing an Eygptian inspired makeup tutorial to celebrate the release of the book Nemesis by the amazing Anna Banks.
I was challenged with the task of making an egyptian makeup tutorial to go with the Eygptian inspired setting of the novel. I can say that this wasn't easy but the end result was amazing and not very difficult to achieve!

In a summary of my review, which for the sake of keeping this post short will be published on the release date of the book, I really enjoyed reading the novel and the characters were very cool and realistic, although the book is fantasy. I love Sepora, the protagonist and the duel perspective between her and Tarik, the male protagonist. I feel like she didn't make stupid decisions like other characters and was very fun. I would definitely recommend the book and would read more of Anna's novels in the future!

The Best Affordable Body Sprays

September 18, 2016

We've all spent ages looking for inexpensive body sprays, mists and spritzes. I personally love them, especially the most affordable ones that I can find. They can

So I posted this photo on my Instagram a while ago and did say that I was going to write a post. I was planning of getting this out in the Summer, but oh well. Better late than never.
Not many people know this about me, but I really dislike wearing perfumes. I have always found them very overwhelming and I feel like they are all concentrations of the same ingredients. I literally can't tell the difference between 80% of perfumes. I do have a few, which I might do a post on, but I hardly wear them.
If anyone has any good perfume recommendations, let me know in the comments.

5 Things You Must Not Know About Me

August 10, 2016

Home Office, Laptop, Notebook, Startup, Web Design
"I could find another you in a minute, matter fact he'll be here in a minute, babyyyy"

Sorry! I have a slight (HUGE) obsession with Beyonce.

I hope that you are all well! I did the TMI tag a while ago, but I wanted to do a fun post just about myself today. I haven't really seen anyone do this, but I wanted you guys to learn a little more about me! (that sounded very vain in my head, not intentional!)
I haven't actually planned out what I want to say in this post, so it is really going to be a go with the flow thing, but I hope that you all enjoy!

1. I Wish That I could Read more books
I watch a lot of Booktube, and I see people hauling like 600 books (slight exaggeration) and they can basically read half of those books by the end of the next month. I used to be like that, always finishing a book every 3 or 4 days, and being able to read nearly 100 books in one year, but as I have gotten older, I have begun to read slower :(
However all the books that I am reading I really like, I just wish that I had more time that I could dedicate to reading nowadays!

2. I am a huge bargain hunter
I am always researching to find a new deal, a good price on this, that or the other. I find looking for a good deal pretty fun, as well as knowing that I bought something for the best price there is out there!

3. I love languages
I currently learn French and German, but i really want to continue and study more languages, like Italian and Twi (what they speak in some areas of Ghana, where I am from). I find studying languages and different cultures so much fun, and I feel like you learn so much when you learn a new language. One day I'd love to read books in different languages and travel the world.

4. I hate eating tomatoes
Okay this one is really random but it came to my head. I love loads of fruits, but I absolutely hate eating raw tomatoes. By that I only mean tomatoes by themselves. Tomato sauce, ketchup and everything else I will eat. Tomatoes, no way. I will touch them if they haven't been pureed, sauteed, stewed or fried.

5. I love doing relays.
I am a secret (or not so secret anymore) die-hard runner. I love the olympics and sport, but mainly track athletics. I love short distance running and watching and competing in sprints. Its just my thing! Relays are probably my favourite. I probably look like a right goon when I do them and I shout out names like its my mum telling me to come tidy up but I have so much fun!#

I hope that you have learnt some things about me today, however random they are!

So this weeks prompt is to share your favourite book to movie adaptations. I love going to see book to film adaptations although sometimes I can be very apprehensive about the changes made from book to screen. However, there are some which I feel were done really well, which are the following

1. The Book Thief

A man being hugged by a girl, behind them a pile of books is on fire.

I absolutely love the book and the film "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. It is about a girl called Liesel, put into foster care in Germany during World War II.The book itself I read before watching the film and absolutely loved it. It was extremely well written and I had really high expectations for the film version. I cannot say I was disappointed with the film. I am not much of a film reviewer but as a huge fan of the novel I can say that it was brilliant (although some of the reviews from others would say otherwise)

2. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts I and II

Splitting this book into two films was a great choice as it meant that smaller scenes which would have been missed out in a larger film weren't sacrificed. The cast was amazing for the whole series and the last two films were brilliant!

3. Little Women

Finally is a childhood favourite of mine- Little Women. This was probably the only reason I learnt how to use the video player and watched it all the time as a kid. When I finally read the book I loved it and the screen captured cartoon version was a great representation of what I read.
