Hey Guys!

I am really excited to be joining in the Catwalk Criminal Blog Tour as the penultimate tour host. I really enjoyed Sarah's first book in the Jessica Cole Series, Code Red Lipstick, and even did a review here!
When I was given the offer to join the blog tour to celebrate the launch of her third book in the series, Catwalk Criminal, I jumped at it with both hands!
So today I am very happy to welcome Sarah Sky to my blog as today she will be taking of my post and talking about her brand new book, Jessica Cole: Catwalk Criminal!

Here's a pic of my desk - it's pretty untidy. I tend to works with lots of files, notebooks and pens strewn about.

These are some of the things I can't do without:
I keep my research and ideas for books in different folders on my desk, so I can delve into them whenever I need them. I print off articles from the internet which interest me - probably too many. I have a lot of folders!

I jot ideas down in notebooks and usually carry one around with me when I'm out and about. If I'm having a coffee somewhere, I'll always look in my book and try to make notes on various ideas.

They have to be black biros. I'm very particular - I don't like writing in blue for some reason.

My crammed bookshelves are within grabbing distance of my desk, so when I'm bored I can reach out for inspiration. I usually keep The Marshall Plan for Novel Writing on my desk as it's very useful for editing - it gives lists of useless words to knock out of first drafts. I also keep a Babies' Names book handy, which is useful for flicking through to help come up with new characters.

I need a large, strong cup of coffee before I start work in the morning and have tea and diet Coke throughout the day.

Pin board
I have a large pin board above my desk. My children have started to stick their pictures up on it, but it's mainly to help me when I'm writing. I keep notes about characters such as names/motivation and plot within sight, so I can just glance up and see important stuff when I'm working instead of rummaging about in my many files!

I keep photos of my sons on the windowsill by my  desk. I spend quite a lot of time staring out the window when I should be working! I also have a print of Burgh Island in Bigbury-on-Sea, south Devon, which brings back happy memory of family holidays.
