This weeks Question:
Do you own any doubles of your books? What led to getting that second…or third or fourth…copy?  – A Great Read
Only one! I am really self controlled when it comes to buying books. I have 2 copies of one book, Sleepovers by Jacqueline Wilson. I read it first over a decade ago, then my friend had a 'Sleepover' Themed Party! So I got another one. But it's a new edition so I love it, but my old edition has a little pouffy cover!

2015 Challenges

30 x 30 Challenge- Halfway through?

January 15, 2015

We're halfway through!

I haven't posted recently about this challenge apart from the one time I posted about it probably 2 weeks ago now, I made a Goodreads chat for everyone I did invite though, so if you are on Goodreads feel free to talk to me through there! If not, drop me a comment!

The challenge is about spending with God every day and trying to get to know Him!

----------My Update---------

So I was doing really well up until now! I have been doing studies up to one hour with the devotional I got for Christmas, which I love... However, this is the first devotional I have used, and one trouble that I found was that it makes me a little uncomfortable. I just dislike all this, "Now confess to the Lord..." stuff. Don't think I am proud and horrible because of this, it is just because to me, repenting and confessing are to huge things, and you can't just do them because you are told to by some book. You have to feel like you should. The right sort of mood. Hence me sort of procrastinating.

I am setting myself the goal of becoming more comfortable with confessing to God because that everyone does things wrong and everyone needs to repent, but I just don't feel like it is right.

I hope you guys are all doing well, speak to you soon!

MUA Luxe Lip Lacquer Review- Reckless

January 11, 2015

Smooch your way to red carpet glamour with MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers. Long - lasting and kiss proof, these intense formulas come in five rich, vampy shades. Encased in chic frosted glass packaging, these lacquers glide on with the ease of a gloss, drying in seconds into a matte velvety texture. They are the ultimate make-up bag must have.

I feel like I haven't done a beauty post in a while! I hope you guys don't mind!
I wanted to review this Lip Lacquer because I have been using this product now since late October so I feel that I've used it enough I feel to give it a full review. This is the Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer by MUA (Make Up Academy), which is an affordable makeup brand based in the UK. I have accumulated a lot of their products because it is super affordable drugstore brand. All their products are sold for between £1 and £8! They have an online store (Click Here) and are exclusive to Superdrug at the moment. The product currently retails for £3 in store and online.

I love the colour of this lip lacquer. It is called Reckless, which is a great name, and it is like a vampy, blood red colour. A little darker than a post box red. There is a swatch above to see the colour. It is really pigmented, which is love because it means that it covers up dark upper lips like I have got. It is also a really bright colour which doesn't wear and lasts a super long time!

In terms of drying, this lip lacquer is pretty fast. It dries in less than a minute so you can touch it and has an amazing long wear. The mixture is thick and dries to a fairly chalky, matte consistency. It is quite drying on your lips due to the long lasting qualities of it, so I suggest you prime them with something quite moisturising before applying this product. It also sinks into all the creases and crevices in your lips. At first I really wasn't used to the feeling on my lips, it wasn't that comfortable with it on because it was so thick, and I wasn't used to that feeling. However, after the second of third wear I really liked it, and I got over the feel of it on my lips.

I like the frosted packaging, it is very chic and nice looking, but the downside to it is when you are looking for a nice shade it is hard to see the exact colour of it. It is better to swatch the colour in-store, which is where I bought mine.

My rating;

Overall, I chose to finally give this product a 4 out of 5 because I disliked the consistency of the product on my lips at first but I love the colour and the packaging and everything else about the product. I really like the product and would recommend it with the other colours in the set. The product is also matte and long lasting wear which is also very useful.

I hope you like this review, more beauty to come!

January 'Put Your Library On Hold' TBR!

January 02, 2015

I hope you are all well and enjoying 2015! This is my TBR for January 2015 and this is also the start of the Put Your Library On Hold TBR, made by Emerald City Book Review.

My Goodreads 2015 Reading Goal for this year is 80 books. So I did the math;

365 days in a year
                                                                 -------------------------           =  4.5625 days to read each book
80 books I want to read

So that's about 4.5 days to read a novel, right? So, in the month of January, I should be reading, lets see...

31 days in January
                                                             -------------------------------    = 6.7391304 books read this month
4.6 days to read a novel

There was a lot of maths in that first part, so now I have got 8 books and 2 samples in my TBR, just in case I go over a little. One of them I actually starting during December, so I am just going to finish that off (today hopefully).
Most of the authors on this list are British, so they also contribute to the amount of books I've read for the British Books Challenge.

The books on my TBR are as follows;

Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas- This is the third book in the Throne of Glass series that came out this year last year (have to get used to saying that) . I was meant to read it a lot earlier but ended up accidentally getting the Assassin's Blade. Really excited to read this.

The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater- This is the second book in The Raven Boys Quartet, I lent this to my friend in October I believe, and she loved it! I now have high hopes for this =D, also Blue, Lily, Blue Lily, the next book, is out, so I need to grab that.

Boys Don't Knit by T.S. Easton- Seen this promoted around a little bit. I got it as one of my back up books for my Xmas Book Tube A Thon TBR. Want to read it now! Also its pretty short, so I should finish it in 2-3 days maybe?

Thirteen Treasures By Michelle Harrison- Got this in my Box Of OMG. Pretty interested in reading it! Part of a series that I might pick up... Love the cover though, its so pretty...

A Boy Called Hope by Lara Williamson- Also got this in my Box of OMG, been procrastinating reading this for ages! The cover has metallic stars, ahhh!

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart- Started this book back when it was Booksplosion book of the month, but frogged it. Going to give it another go! Saw the live show last month with Hot Key Books, definitely inspired me to pick this up again.

The two samples;
Flora and Ulysees by Kate DiCamillo- Personally I don't think I'll be very interested in this but going to give the sample a go.
Flora in Love by Natasha Farrant- Hoping to get to this soon, quite intrigued by this!

So that's my pretty long January TBR post! See you soon! *waves*

Getting Healthy? New Years Resolutions

January 02, 2015

So as you probably saw, a couple of days ago I published be New Years Resolutions. I had a small section on getting healthy, saying that I wanted to do the splits and get a six pack and be content with my looks and things... Well, yeah, I do.

Before you exit out of this post or leave me hate, I just want to say that I completely disagree with all those thinning methods and nasty starve-yourself diets. I do not, and I repeat, do not agree that people should aspire to be some tiny skinny person.

I want to be healthy, not skinny. I want to take 2015 as an oppertunity to develop my muscles and increase flexibility. I want 2015 to be the year where I finally tone by abdominal muscles. Maybe I have to lose a little bit of weight on my stomach, but that is only because I strive to get a four pack, and I know I have one, I just have to lose the fat around my stomach and mid area so it can be prominent.

I am not going to stop eating McDonald's or Burger King, but I am going to choose healthier options, which hopefully my body with thank me for. I eat huge 3 meal portions every day, may be I can switch that up to speed up my metabolism a little bit. Drink more water, do more exercise... I am not making huge changes. I just want a better me.

Also, when I say I want to get better looks, I just mean stronger nails, clearer skin, thicker and stronger hair. Nothing the multivitamins can't help with. Not that I am really going to depend on them, I really need to fix up my morning and night routine and other things in my lifestyle to make me better.

I am going to be starting the 30 day shred this year. The results I have seen are amazing and I have done a lot of research into it. I really want to put in the effort into changing my unhealthy lifestyle into something future me will really thank me for.

Happy New Year!!!! What was your favorite book of 2014 – or books if you can’t name just one? – via AlisonCanRead

I didn't do I post on this last year, because I didn't read that many books made/published this year, because I don't tend to buy my books, I don't think all these books were published in 2014, but they were amazing!
